Since 2006, Colin has been responsible for leading multi-disciplinary teams on projects throughout Scotland, including the Western Isles, Ayrshire, Highland, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Perthshire, Scottish Borders and across the Central Belt. Colin’s key focus is the delivery of planning permissions across virtually all development sectors and he has been responsible for preparation of EIAs and delivery of consents for a number of schemes, including infrastructure, environmental improvements, renewables and residential schemes. Colin has been a chartered member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since 2006 and brings a detailed understanding of the Scottish system and importantly, local knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with key stakeholders. Providing Colin with support in the Glasgow office is James Jamieson, another experienced chartered Town Planner who has worked directly with Colin for the past 5 years.
In joining TNEI, Colin said “I’m very excited about the opportunity to lead TNEI’s growth in Scotland and given our existing portfolio of projects and clients there is great potential for the company to grow within the Scottish market. Our Planning & Environmental Group has a strong track record in the identification, appraisal and consenting of development projects. James and I are looking forward to the opportunity to combine our own Scottish experience with this strong platform to lead the company forward in Scotland”.
Commenting on the appointment of Colin and James, Andy Edgar, Group Manager of TNEI’s Planning & Environmental Group, said “We’re delighted to welcome Colin and James to TNEI and are very pleased to have recruited two experienced and highly motivated individuals to open our new Glasgow office. TNEI hope that their recruitment is the first of several new appointments in Scotland as we look to grow our Scottish business. The Glasgow office team will work directly with the existing groups in Newcastle upon Tyne and Manchester to provide a range of planning and environmental services for the Scottish development sector.”
