TNEI provides a turnkey wind resource assessment programme identifying suitable site for wind masts, obtaining planning permission and project managing the installation through to comprehensive wind climate and energy yield assessments and decommissioning.
The team has specific expertise in providing:
- Identifying optimal locations for temporary wind monitoring masts and obtaining planning permission
- Managing the installation, data retrieval/reporting and decommissioning of guyed and lattice masts up to 70 meters tall
- Preparing interim and fully bankable energy yield assessments using a suite of industry-validated software
- Preparing detailed site-specific wind shear assessments using in-house developed computational tools
- Using advanced computational fluid dynamics tools to characterise wind flow over complex terrain
