TNEI is a leading power systems engineering, planning & environmental and energy management consultancy that is now part of the Petrofac group.
We have a strong existing workload and an excellent client base. Our growth plans through 2012 are for both our existing offices in Manchester and Newcastle upon Tyne, as well as new offices in new locations. As such, we are looking to recruit high calibre engineers and consultants with a range of experience to increase our scope of operations and support our existing activities.
All roles include market leading salaries and a benefit package including annual discretionary bonus, company pension contributions, private health cover, a strong degree of individual responsibility and recognition, and a flexible and friendly working environment.
The Power Systems & Technology Group has a strong position in the offshore wind and power system analysis sector, and our growth plans see us continuing to rapidly expand our technical analysis and engineering design teams. Our activities range from renewable and conventional generation, transmission and distribution networks, through to oil and gas facilities. Our work is primarily in the UK and Ireland but with a growing list of international projects.
The Planning & Environmental Group has established a reputation within the energy industry for the rapid and effective identification, assessment and consenting of renewable energy sites and other energy and infrastructure related projects throughout the UK. The P&E Group has ambitious growth plans to continue to expand its range of services and utilise the skills and experience of the team into new sectors. We are always interested to hear from ambitious individuals who can help us achieve further success.
The Energy Management Group provides a wide variety of services to help clients reduce and manage their energy consumption. We put our success down to having a dynamic, passionate and dedicated team. Our people are fundamental to the future growth of our business and the quality of our service. We have plans to expand our team in 2012 and would welcome approaches from energy management professionals who have the drive and desire to be part of this.
We are currently looking to recruit a number of individuals to be based in our Central Manchester office; although the opportunity to be based in our new Glasgow office may be available for the right candidate(s).
We are keen to speak to candidates who have experience with power systems analysis in general. We are however particularly interested in individuals who can offer skills in harmonic analysis, protection coordination, earthing and lightning protection. Familiarity with power system analysis software such as IPSA, PSSE, PTW32, CYME, ETAP, DigSilent, PSCAD and/or CDEGS would be advantageous.
For our growing engineering design (FEED) team, we are also keen to speak to candidates with experience of substation design, transmission line or cable design, preparation of specification and tenders, and engineering cost estimation. Familiarity with AutoCAD and equipment suppliers would be advantageous.
Our business growth has also produced the need to recruit a number of engineers with hands-on experience, particularly for the roles below. These opportunities are expected to be based in our Glasgow office, and extensive site-working is likely to be required:
These two roles will require engineers with experience of working on sites such as large scale utilities, power generation, petrochemical and/or large scale industrial. Experience with high voltage equipment is highly desirable although exceptional candidates with LV-only experience will be considered. These roles will necessitate a significant amount of work on customer’s sites and hence relevant health and safety competence will be of benefit too.
We are also looking to recruit a Site Service & Support Manager:
The role of Site Services and Support Manager requires an individual who can both facilitate the activities of the site-based engineers and also develop further business out of our Glasgow office.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of working in a similar environment with a proven record of interfacing with customers in this sector.
