Understanding where and when you consume your energy is generally regarded as one of the first steps in energy management. There are many different automatic Monitoring and Targeting systems (aM&T) available on the market to help organisations with this first step. However, the varied choice in systems and software packages can make choosing the right system difficult.
TNEI's Energy Management group can help you make an informed decision about not only what system to purchase but also what to monitor. The EM group achieve this through a two stage process:
Stage 1 - Energy Mapping
Through use of our portable energy loggers we will build up a profile of your electricity usage across your site over a period of at least a week. This will highlight which electrical feeds are the main consumers and therefore should be monitored. It will also prevent money being wasted on monitoring electrical feeds where the energy consumption only accounts for a tiny fraction of your total usage.
Stage 2 - Identifying the most suitable system
After identifying exactly what to monitor in stage 1, the EM group will then advise on what systems they believe will be the most suitable for the client. Using our extensive knowledge of aM&T systems we will select the two most suitable systems and calculate a budget cost for the system, allowing you to make the correct decision on the most beneficial and cost effective system for your purposes.
